I'm looking at a 2006 Scion tc with 162,000 miles for $3,795. I know that Scotty has stated that those 2.4L engines have oil burning issues (I haven't gone to the dealership to see the car yet, so I don't know if it already has oil burning). I know that there are oil burning/repair kits to help (possibly solve this). Are their any that are the best?

The only thing that can stop an oil burning 2.4 l engine of that age is rebuilding the engine with new piston rings and that costs a lot of money and it's not something a do it yourself guy can do

Thanks for replying Scotty. I guess Scion is out of the running for being my car.
