Hey Scotty,
I own a 2006 Chrysler town and country with 225,000 miles automatic transmission. My problem is every time I fill it with gas, and I never let it go past a half a tank, when leaving the gas station parking lot coming to a red light or stop sign pressing on the brake my car will die. I put it in park and it starts right back up and it doesn’t happen again until my next fill up. I also add a small bottle full of Lucas oil treatment after every fill up. Any suggestions and thank you.
Are you filling the dickens out of it after it stopped pumping, to get more gas in it by chance?
No sir.
Any suggestions
I knew this would be a head scratcher I’ve asked other mechanics and they have no idea either
Did you mean to say Lucas Fuel treatment? Lucas Oil Treatment does not go in the gas tank. Have you tried a new gas cap or a new evap canister solenoid valve?
