Hi Scotty, would a 2006 toyota corolla be a good choice for the first car?  Love your videos

It would be helpful if you can state the mileage of the car you are looking at, how long you plan on keeping it, how much mileage you will be putting on it.

A lot depends on whether a mechanic with a fancy scan tool can verify that it's in good shape. There's no getting away from the fact that it's a 16-year old car. While in general a Corolla would be a top pick for a first car, a lot can happen in that time. The most important factor is the condition of the specific one you are considering.

Ok I'm looking for one that has around 150k km. U think that's Ok?

That's what, just under 100,000 miles in real measurement I think and that's not much for a well-maintained Corolla. However as I said you need to have a mechanic check it out thoroughly. Corollas are good cars but a lot can happen in 16 years and you don't want to get stuck with one that's been abused or neglected.

Ok thank I'll keep that in mind 👍
