Im trying to decide on whether to buy an older 2007-2011 camry with a v6 or i4. I heard the 4 cylinder has oil consumption issues so would the v6 be much more reliable? I'm looking for a car for long commutes (about 100 miles a day) so I don't want to go too old for the car. What do you think would be the best for my situation?

The 4 cylinders did have the oil consumption recall. If you don't mind the extra fuel the V6 will use, go with the V6. I would recommend the V6 in your case as the V6 is smooth and has power on demand. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power but the whole car does shake more since it's a inline 4.
If the car you're looking at had the recall repair done, you should be fine with it.
