Hey scotty, I have a 2007 acura tl with 254k miles. I have replaced the struts twice on it so far due to tire wear being bad. The inner outside tread just seams to go first and then next thing you know the steal is starting to show. I've had alignment done all four wheels and nothing seems to keep this from happening, oh and (cupping has occurred. My question is should I switch to coil overs or stick with smart struts. Quite frankly I'm sick of buying tires every 1..5 to 2 years. I got them at costco so I rotate them regularly. Any ideas on what could be going on? Thanks for your help and as always take care and stay safe.
Oh I've had good years, continental, bf goodrich
Tires and they all do the same. What should I do.
I look forward to hearing back from you,
Alex Hiatt
Look there's multiple components of a suspension in modern cars and just replacing something at random and hoping it fixes it is a massive waste of money. You need to take the car to a good mechanic and them look over the suspension with a fine tooth comb and see what the problem is and what really needs replacing. And stop talking to whoever's done your alignment work because they're idiots and they should have checked this already and told you what the problem is.
