2007 Corolla Battery Icon Flashing

Hey Scotty,

I have here a 2007 corolla with a battery icon flashing on the dashboard. It is not rapid, but it flashes every 10 seconds. I also notice a chirping noise from the alternator. I inspected the battery terminal cables and I did not see anything out of the ordinary (i.e, no corrosion). Could this be a bad serpentine belt, alternator pulley, or the alternator? Please help!!!

Load test the battery and alternator. You can do these in Autozones free of charge.

you will find the issue.
