Hey Scotty! I inherited a 2007 Ford Escape XLT. V6, AWD, Auto trans. 112,000 miles. I’ve replaced the battery, pads and rotors, front shocks and springs, rear shocks, coil on plugs, plugs, EGR, alternator, various sensors, hoses and filters. I also put four new tires on it. Now the car is not shifting from 1st to 2nd, or 3rd to 4th (Unless I lift the throttle) no codes but the O/D light will sometimes flash. The local mechanic quoted me $7,200.00 to put in a remanufactured trans. It also needs some exhaust work and the oil pan has developed a leak.
I’ve already put more money into this than it’s worth. What would you recommend?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for your reply.

Unfortunately, transmission problems are common on that model:

What you need is a transmission expert who will analyze what's going on using a professional-grade scan tool to see what's actually happening inside. If you're lucky it may be something not too expensive to repair.
Bear in mind when weighing your options that vehicle is only worth about $3500 in good condition (per kbb.com which reports inflated prices), so I would not throw a lot more money into that thing (see the "sunk cost fallacy").

I have no idea where you got the idea that you had any expectation of privacy.
Anything and everything you post here is automatically posted publicly on the internet for millions to see.
Per the privacy policy on our front page:
You are responsible for your topics, posts and other information you provide through our services, and you should think carefully about what you make public, especially if it is sensitive information.
And unfortunately it's too late to do anything about it. Once something is on the web, millions of copies are made everywhere.
Keep in mind that search engines and other third parties may still retain copies of your public information, like your profile information, even after we/you have deleted the information from our community.
You are far too careless with your personal information.
Fortunately it looks like no real name or contact information was posted. Edit: info was posted but it was deleted. (I missed that he asked that. Maybe the guy thought he was sending Scotty a personal email?)
I don't how anybody can think that. You can see the huge list of questions from other people right on the front page.
Going off a random guess, I would say try to see if there’s something wrong with the computer before you swap the whole transmission
