So I jacked up van and wiggled the rim and tire back and forth from left to right and I seen the ball joint moving....up and down was ok...but left to right is where I seen play in ball joint....I looked online and all I see is the lower control arm with ball joint which is high as hell. Can't I just replace the ball joint only or with this type of vehicle do I have to buy the control arm to?? Such a money racket. But ya is it possible to see play in ball joint moving wheel from left to right....I surely did...lol 😆 but any help is appriciated

The balljoint would have to pressed in with special tools and that would end up costing you more anyway. It's better to get the whole control arm. They're only $100 which isn't bad at all.
