The flex pipe on the Odessey has pulled away from the exhaust manifold due to 3 nuts vibrating off of the connecting bolts, we replaced the control arms this spring is the flex pipe doable? The pipe itself isn't that expensive $125.00 or so but everywhere I take it they want about $1000.00 to replace it am I missing something it only looks like bolts holding it on, we would have to cut before the catalytic converter beyond it but just wondering you say try it first?
Go to a muffler shop. They can easily do the job for a reasonable price.
that's where I went one was $1,300 the other around $1000 looking at it we can see two sets of bolts and a hanger just wondering if we are missing something
So, do it yourself. It is not that difficult.
If you can change the control arms you can change the j pipe. Just spray the nuts and bolts with penetrating oil a night before the job and try to use an impact wrench
Thanks; we are going to try it 3 of the nuts vibrated off so I don't think that will be a problem I think it may have been most of the problem
