2007 Honda Pilot purchace consideration

Topic starter

I am considering the purchase of a 2007 Honda Pilot, VIN: 5FNYF28647B008488, 220000 miles. Private party.
2007 Honda Pilot with a 3.5L V6 SOHC 24V engine,
Transmission
5-Speed Automatic Overdrive,
Trim Level: EX-L 2WD w/ DVD.
I heard a high pitch squill from the serpentine belt area when idling.
The AC blows cold
All lights and windows work.
Tire pressure sensor light is on.
One fog light lense is broken.
Rides and shifts OK.

I will have it inspected by Agcoauto.com shop in Baton Rouge, LA.

If the inspection indicates no problems, would $2000 be a reasonable offer?

What are the major concers I should consider with this auto with 220000 miles on it?
What might it cost to add a transmission and power steering cooler so it can be used to pull a 2500 lb RV trailer? Or would that not be a good idea?

Thanks for your consideration.

I would avoid that particular Pilot.  Realize the engine in that 2WD version had cylinder deactivation (or what Honda calls variable cylinder management or VCM) and that Pilot was one of the first few model years to have that technology.  It can lead to wear and tear over time, and there was a class action lawsuit over the VCM causing oil burning in the V6s.  Especially at that high mileage (220,000 miles), who knows what state that engine is in.  It’s a dealbreaker for me - I would pass on it.
