I have a 2007 Mazda 3 with 141xxx miles. The car makes hydraulic lifter (“clicking”) noise from its engine. Should I be concerned or is it something that I can live with and won’t damage anything overtime?

Clarification: Is the noise only on startup, and then goes away after a few minutes?

No it doesn’t, but when I rev it and drive it it isn’t noticeable. The noise is only noticeable when idling

This is a common problem with older Mazdas. Don't worry about it.
