2007 Lincoln Town car, 88k miles automatic.

DTCs: P3055, P3056, P2195 & P2196.

Just purchased vehicle, very clean elderly owned vehicle.  Oil changes appear to be have kept up with based on some records and by appearance of cams and rockers.  Transmission fluid was in good shape and didn’t appear or smell burnt.  No issues going into all gears and shifting.  On the way home after purchase I notice a small non rhythmic hiccup every so often, I do not see a drop in speed or rpm’s.  The issue occurs while on or off cruise control, and with over drive turned off.  Based on the codes I did replace all spark plugs and coils, with no change.  2 of the spark plugs have seen exhaust bypass 1 of which was extremely carboned up.  I also see oily residue on a few of the injectors and some oil in the electrical connectors.  I have omhn out all injectors and they are all at 14.  I cleared the codes and they have not returned but my issue still exists.  Thank you for the help.

On the way home after purchase I notice ...

This is why Scotty repeatedly advises everyone to take vehicles to a mechanic and have them inspected BEFORE purchase.

At the VERY least, test drive it before buying. Elderly owners or not,  you don't want to end up with a dud or $1,000's in repairs.

small non rhythmic hiccup

well it can be cause by a number of things. A malfunctioning transmission, engine misfire, fuel contamination (especially if the car sat), etc.

A good scanner will show you misfire counts.

It would be helpful if you posted the code definitions.

A good service manual will provide steps to diagnose trouble codes. Here is a link to one:
