oil dipstick is dry

Hey Scotty Ive got an 07 mazda 6 wth 83k miles. I just bought this car did an oil change 3 months ago. Ive cked the dip stick its dry I’ve added oil and it now reads it. Whats going on and is it worth keeping and was gona replace the front end suspension should i??? Please help

You're either burning oil or leaking it. Check tailpipe and sparkplugs for oily deposits. Check underneath for dripping oil. Hopefully it's not a blown head gasket. If that much oil was getting into the coolant it would be quite noticeable.

If it’s a 1.8/2.0/2.3/2.5 - Seeing a DuraTec HE burn oil at 83k is incredibly rare - I would not believe the odometer, or assume the car was abused

(I have that engine on my Volvo, and that was the engine of choice for the Miata - it’s really hard to make it burn oil)

Where's the oil going? Didn't Scotty Kilmer do a video where you can add fluorescent fluid/dye into the oil and then wear special glasses to see where the oil might be leaking?.
