2007 Nissan Altima
Ok this morning my ol lady told me her blower wouldn't come on for her vents etc. But i checked it out and it was on on the controls for the fan speed but the fan just was not coming on but after like a min of playing with the controls on the fan speed it started working what could cause this internment thing to happen?? Ive heard the fan blower resistor could be going bad causing the fan blower to do that.. Help plz thanks
Usually when the resistor block starts going bad the blower will work on some speeds but not others. In your case my guess would be the switch, if the blower runs at all speeds after you get it going. Could be the blower itself, if it is easy to remove you can test it with jumper wires.
Yeah at first it didn't work when we first started the car up then a min later it comes on so you saying it's the fan blower switch
Pretty sure it's not the resistor block. I would unplug the blower motor and check for voltage at the connector with the switch in different positions. If you consistently have voltage, the switch is probably okay. If you have to fiddle around with the switch to get a voltage reading, then the switch is likely bad. If you have good voltage, pull the blower motor out and use jumper wires to connect it to a 12 volt source. If it does not spin freely and immediately every time you apply power, then it needs replacing. Good luck!
I see it called the climate control assembly or unit, about 30 bucks. As I was looking, I saw that other people had the same issue as you and it turned out to be the relay. Before proceeding further, try to get it not working again, then tap the relay and see if it then starts working.
Tap it hard, several times if necessary
The switch is acting up.
It's called the fan blower switch???
No. The climate control unit.
I still vote vote the heater blower resistor. That spring coil of wire get crapped up and burns out with some frequency.
Between the three of us we'll get this sucker fixed {black}
Right on oldandy!
Lol y'all guys are a real help thanks alot.
