I will most likely be getting a 2007 Nissan Maxima delivered to my house this week and I'm genuinely terrified that the transmission will start giving problems. These cars are notorious for giving this kind of problem. To be on the safe side, would you advise me to put lucas stop slip to prevent a transmission problem from occurring? In other words, would you advise me to put Lucas stop slip as a preventive measure even if the transmission isn't slipping yet? Thanks for your help!
Delivered to your house by whom - Carvana, Vroom, etc? If so, you've made a very bad mistake.
It'll be delivered by a private seller. Why would it be a bad mistake if delivered by Carvana or Vroom?
Those big used car outfits charge inflated prices and tend to be dumping grounds for people looking for an easy way to get rid of bad cars.
No.
Absolutely not. All that should be done is normal maintenance and don't beat it to death.
Details in our FAQ. Don't use additive in a healthy transmission. Change the ATF + filter often.
