Hi community, what you think about a 2007 nissan pathfinder? Big reliability problems?
Thanks.
Avoid that model year due to SMOD - well documented issue. See below:

Don't buy that year, I would go 09-12 since that ironed out the tranny issues.
That generation model year was ok but I wouldn't buy one. I'm not a Nissan fan and I've seen them already worn out at around 200k.
It had a lot of transmission issues due to coolant mixing with the ATF - replacing the friction packs and maybe even baskets and bearings is VERY EXPENSIVE.
Also, 200,000 miles is quite a lot for a modern SUV, the fact you’ve seen them with those kinds of mileages suggests they’re decent in the longevity department (a Nissan has no chance of surviving even 3/4 of that)
Thank you all, your information was very helpful.
