Does anyone know why different oill filter manufacturers oil filters are different sizes some skinny than others but they fit the same car like a wix xp filter and a stp filter for my car ate different sizes around

engine differences.
displacement size, cylinders, power in HP, turbocharging etc..
But even tho there different sizes you can use either ?
unless your engine has some special needs, pick the filter that looks the most like the OEM one
this is why I always you OEM filters. They are only a couple bucks more..
Oem isn’t always the best quality
