My car's engine was damaged due to water getting into the intake and damaging a piston rod. The rest of the car is perfectly fine and has around 60k.
I cannot find a mechanic to replace the engine in the Clifton NJ area since the hours are too high for all the shops. They would rather go for a low hour and higher volume work. Do you have any recommendations on how to find a mechanic to perform an engine replacement? I am at wit's end and almost ready to give up.
Well generally the guys that replace engines if they're professional mechanics charge an awful lot of money. But if you can find a used engine in a junkyard many junk yards will also install them and a reasonable price. Although I don't know about New Jersey it has some bad images for people who live in other areas of crooked mafiosa dealings
