I have a 2007 Silverado Classic 1500 4.3 5spd manual with 135,000 miles. It’s the regular cab with a short bed. The transmission sounds like it skips/grinds when letting the clutch out of 1st and sometimes 2nd. Still drives fine otherwise and doesn’t always do it. Repair, rebuild, or replace?

If the rest of the vehicle is good and does not have problems with rust, then i
would look for an independent transmission specialist to do a repair. Manual transmissions
are much simpler to repair than automatic. An experienced transmission technician should
get a good result on this type of repair.
