2007 Toyota Sienna hesitation

2007 Toyota Sienna with 185k (barely broke in) sometimes it has some hesitation when accelerating (merging or trying to pass) today while going up a pretty steep hill I had no power at all!! There was no weird noises, just my speed started to drop, I made it up the hill, pressed on the gas and it was fine (I kept my foot at the same pressure trying to go up the hill, I did not press it harder, it slowed down to almost 5mph (I was probably going 35 before the hill (country road, no one behind me)

We are in Indiana right now on vacation and are driving back to Texas this weekend (1,000 miles trip) what can cause such hesitation? Anything we can do to fix it before heading back to Texas?

Isn't it normal?

I worded that wrong I guess lol what pressure I had on the gas should have gotten us up the hill with no problem, transmission should have shifted (I drive a 2017 Sienna, this 2007 is my moms) I was afraid to step on the gas harder tho, once we topped the hill we really didn’t have much power either like it just didn’t realize the gas was pressed at all, is the throttle position sensor hard to change?

My initial thoughts echoed that of @yaser

But if you claim that’s never happened before, when you get back home, try changing out the fuel filter (if equipped) and pressure test the fuel pump.

Alternatively, have it checked out by your mechanic with a fancy scan tool.
