Hi Scotty.
My son has a 2007 Yaris 4 door hatch back. He got new tires today and the tire shop (Kal Tire) gave him an estimate for the following repairs required (btw I think they are pretty trustworthy):
1) both front control arm bushings
2) both front wheel bearings
I can replace the entire control arms for less than the bushing price they quoted (never mind the labor costs). So I think that I can help him with step 1.
My question is: is there a way (parts) to replace the entire front wheel hubs & bearings instead of just replacing the bearings? The bearing replacement is more than I can do myself but I know I could replace the entire hub/spindle if it came with the bearings. I can't find the parts on rock auto. Any suggestions?
We live just outside of Vancouver, BC
Thanks
Kevin

be careful when replacing OEM Toyota parts. You might end up with some junk that's worse than what's already there.
I agree. I had a Toyota Corolla 2021 which I sold a year and a half after I bought it new because stuff was always breaking down and the OEM parts were junk.
What I said was the original parts on Toyota are sometimes far better than anything you can buy on the market. For example many guys will recondition the CV axles instead of replacing them.
