Hi guys
what is your opinion on buying a 2008 with the az engine 2.4 , 130k miles on it , looks in good shape but burns just a little over 1 quarts every 5000 miles,
will this oil consumption lead to other problems and will it consume more oil ?
thanks

That year model is a known 'oil burner' and should be avoided. Adding 1 quart of oil every 5K miles (if that's really all it burns) isn't too bad if you already owned the car. Buying a car which is known to have defective rings isn't a good idea.
'Oil burners' deposit excessive carbon in the engine and they can create other issues, such as overtaxing the catalytic converter.
