What’s your thoughts on a 2008 Acura TL with 160,000 miles as a first time vehicle???

You did not specify automatic or standard shift, but those cars are known for weak automatic transmissions.

This is better than the Tahoe you were looking at, last month. But it’s still not a wise first car.
Look for an Accord instead, or even more cheaper to maintain, Civic/Corolla.
