They’re notorious for transmissions dropping around 120-130k if they have been dogged.
Good cars but watch out for those transmissions since they are somewhat weak. I would try to see if you can find one with a manual. Otherwise you could also consider a Lexus IS or maybe a RWD Infiniti G35 since the 5-speed auto transmissions are much better than the ones in the Acura.
I notice that you love Infiniti. Ive been looking for an IS 250 and I really like infiniti as well.... What do you think of this?

I would probably offer $4299 considering it has over 140k miles, but if a mechanic says it's good, go ahead, they can be good cars. Change the oil regularly and do all the normal maintenance and they can last. I have seen them go 200-400k miles and they are still going.

That's a great price for a TL. Get it inspected by a mechanic before you buy. You can have a lot of fun with those cars since there is a lot of aftermarket modifications available. The transmission problems where only in the 1999-2003 TL models. With that said you should still have a mechanic inspect the vehicle.
