I went to put down my parking brake as I always do and when I push it down it like clicked and basically went to the floor super fast with no resistance. It still pops up and down ans my dashboard shows the parking brake engaging and disengaging but there is less resistance when putting it down and I feel like there is a slight drag when I drive now.

You should inspect the cable. It may need some adjustment.

the cable probably snapped. Should be easy enough to spot.
