The oil level was fine I just changed it. went to Walmart and on way back car died and would not start had it towed to vw dealer and they are telling me the timing chain broke and say it will cost $8800 dollars what do you think                                                        https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aXltaPPytqfPV1TWLLM2J8kd-bSh_eD8/view?usp=sharing                 this is the bill

I hate to say this, but you have an interference engine with timing belt. If it breaks, it is time to replace the engine or say goodbye to the car. It is not worth rebuilding the engine.
