  • I have a 1997 Lincoln Town car executive with 63k miles. It has the 4.6l V8, automatic transmission, RWD.
  •  I got it with 41k last July. When I accelerate it’s rumbles under the car as if you were driving on the highway shoulder. It’s does that for like 2 seconds and stops. But if you accelerate again, it does it again. It vibrates at any speed only when accelerating. But it does it when I give it a good load. When you are at a constant speed the car drives like it’s supposed to; no matter if I’m going 30 mph or 80. What can it be??
  • i checked the wheels they are not loose.
  • trans fluid is a proper level
  • i have not done the breaks on it or  properly inspect them.
  • new struts and sway bar links
  • new spark plugs and wires.
    new fuel pump and filter
  • the mechanic said there was no vacune leaks
  • i put my BlueDriver OBD scanner and the codes that came up are:
  • C1095 pump motor circuit failure
  • B1352 ignition key in circuit fault
  • I did a thorough scan and the car does not have a check engine light on.

Omg 😱 I just checked the fluid when it was cold and it was at the crossbars but the dipstick says that you have to check it hot!! So I went to the gym and when I got back I left the car on and pulled the dipstick. THERE WAS NOTHING THERE!!! It was DRY!!!! And after watching this vid, I did notice that sometimes the transition did jolt me when I switched and sometimes the shift WAS delayed. But I didn’t know the vibration was the transmission slipping!! I think I still can save it.
So last time I got under the car was last week and I had cleaned the transmission down there because there was dirt and grime stuck. And I can see that some wires connected to it were “wet”. I had cleaned it before but it got dirty again. BUT I never noticed a puddle on my drive way. Now I need to know where it is leaking from. Could this be the problem?
