Hi I've got a 2008 Ford ranger 2wd auto, with 3.0l, with 68,000 miles, and it vibrates at speeds over 55 mph. It seems to vibrate the whole truck, I've had new Kumho tires installed cause it still had the original Continental tires from the factory but its still there. Where should I look, what tools do I need to diagnose it? Thanks a bunch your videos really help!
Check for loose or worn tie rod ends. Jack up the front, grab the tire at 3 and 9 and push/pull. Any perceptible movement indicates tie rod ends are worn and need replacement.
Thanks for the reply but that was the first thing I tried, I check them every oil change but thanks for your input.
Did the shop correctly balance all your new tyres?
I sure hope so you think I should start there?
Since you say the whole truck is vibrating, I’d start looking at the rear first. If not the tyres, then look at the rear suspension. If it was something in the front, you’d feel it in the steering wheel.

Watch the video, Scotty takes you through the entire process of isolating the problem. All the best!
