Hello,
My 2008 honda accord A/T (2.4L i4) (~100000 miles) has some weird issue in the air conditioning:
When I set the a/c on hot, the warm air only blows from the passenger side (right side) and a little bit in the middle, but it becomes cold in the driver side (left side) (the heat kind of fades away from the passenger to the driver side). However, some hot air blow intermittently from the driver vent, but most of the time it’s cold.
Please note that my car has dual zone climate control.
Also, when I turn on the a/c, on hot or cold, there is a little noise (like a little squeaky fan if I’d describe it) that comes out from the glove box side.
I don’t know if those 2 issues are related, that’s why I need your help.
Thank you!
Odds are the noise you hear is the actuator being broken there are actuators that open and close blend door so you get heat or air conditioning coming out of the various holes and that system is probably breaking down.unfortunately only someone with a Honda dealer level scan tool can work on those systems as it requires that level of tool to do bi-directional testing and repair it without just pure educated guesswork
