I have a 2008 Honda Accord lx-p 141000 miles on it. Recently the engine has been making a rattling noise and I can’t figure out what it is. Please I’m desperate, if you have any clue please reach out. I’ll send you the video if you want to hear it please you can ask for my number.

This is the noise I here. It’s when I start up the car and it’s idling or I stop at a light. I have no idea what it is. I was thinking maybe idle pulley not sure.
does it rattle all the time, or just at startup?
That is the vtc actuator, you need to replace it
we are just going to ride it until it stops, only has 60,000 miles, used as a spare
will NEVER purchase a new honda again
Does it happen at idle? Did you try opening the hood and looking for it?
I opened the hood it sounds like it’s coming from the back of the engine. Honestly thought It was the idle pulley. But a mechanic said it could be one of the pulleys I’m not sure
- well the back of the engine does not have pulleys on it more often than noise like that at the back of the engine is the flywheel wobbling around or the torque converter.but of course do remove all the fan belts just in case it was a pulley the noise would stop then but I doubt it will stop if it comes to the back of the engine
