Hey Scotty, I am considering the 2008 Honda Accord v6, I am impressed by how fast and well built the car is, but I heard about issues with their VCM system and oil burning, is disabling the VCM a good idea, and if it is will or make the car go faster.

What is the mileage on it as well as transmission?  The engine that came with the 6-speed Manual did not have VCM.

How fast are you planning to go? Maybe you should start looking at aeroplanes..

VCM does not affect horsepower/torque.

Mainly I want to know if disabling the VCM is ok, because the VCM system is one of the common complaints I read in the reviews

Disabling VCM is almost necessary. Transmission is robust on those.

No, disabling VCM won't make it faster. Idk where you got that from.

I’m just curious how does the VCM affect the transmission??

It doesn't affect the transmission...

Even if you disable it, the hardware is still intact. I would avoid the 2008 Accord for many reasons though, probably one of the worst years for the Accord. For sake of time and easiness, here is a link to the owners complaint data: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2008/

Yes VCM equipped Accords tend to burn oil, and no I don't see how it could change performance except for reducing it.
