Fiat 500L with AISIN automatic transmission

Are the Fiat 500L wagons with the AISIN transmissions any good?  I think Fiat switched over to the AISIN in 2017 and I am wondering if I can get 100K miles out of the car?  I was watching a Scotty video yesterday with a viewer writing about having a Chrysler 200C with over 165K miles with a ZF 9 speed transmission that Scotty said was a much better car than the regular Chrysler 200's.  I am wondering if the AISIN transmission on the Fiat 500L makes it a better car like th ZF transmission did to the normally-crappy Chrysler 200.

I would run from any Fiat products.  You have to always look at the complete package, in addition to the powertrain.  Here, the rest of the vehicle is bound to have issues before the transmission, and so I strongly recommend you put it out of your mind.

It would still have FIAT engine and electronics.

A good transmission wrapped in junk does not a good car make. I wouldn't buy one.

What good is the reliable Aisin transmission, if the rest of the car breaks down and falls apart around it.

The transmission is reliable, but the rest of the car is crap with Italian electronics and poorly designed Italian engines.

Well the transmission will last you but the rest of the car will fall apart.

@Mongo

Lets say the Fiat engine blows up at 40.000 miles, and again at 60.000 miles and it gets mechanically totalled. What good is the Aisin transmission even if its dead reliable? You would still have a miserable ownership experience.

Mathematically speaking, (made up numbers here) lets give a sample 500 parts in a car and lets say 30 of them are significantly costly to repair/replace

29 of them are Fiat parts that fall apart and burn your wallet, 1 of them is a good transmission

See, you honestly wouldn't care at that point because either way its going to fall apart.

Also keep in mind, AISIN transmissions are not always reliable. In fact, in some uses like in specific Ford, Volvo, and BMW vehicles they have been proven to be weak because it doesn't match with the overall powertrain.

DO NOT BUY A FIAT 500

How about this logic;  when the car turns into junk, you can always sell the so called quality transmission to somebody for a few extra bucks.  Hey Mom, I have a great transmission but the car sucks!.

I read that the newer 500L uses an AISIN automatic transmission.  Wouldn't that Toyota-made transmission make the reliability better?
