Hi Scotty,

I have a 2008 Honda Civic 1.8L 2 door automatic, 146,000 miles. I'm the original owner.

Looking back, I've needed to get new tires for the car about every 30k miles.  Never any problems with uneven wear, balancing issues, or suspension issues, just plain old tread wearing thin.  I've had Bridgestone, Pirrelli, Michelin, and now Goodyears in the stock size with factory wheels and suspension. All have performed about the same. About 40% city/60% highway driving.

Does 30k miles seem odd/low to you for tire life?

So I have a comparable car (09 Toy Matrix, 1.8 FWD) and I drive the snot out of it and get more miles than that out of a set, I'd say that was low. The last couple sets of Goodyears and Michelins I've bought came with a 60,000 mile warranty.

Definitely low.
