I'm looking at a 2008 honda cr-v with 130,000 miles on the clock it's a manual transmission with a 2.2 diesel engine for 4000 pounds I'm in England does this sound like a good deal it also has full honda service history.

3rd generation came out in 2006. Check the engine for possible dual mass flywheel and clutch malfunctions, and also for DPF and EGR valve if it was city driven.

If a professional mechanic checks it out and says there’s no major problems, it could be okay as @g-t mentioned.
As with any old high mileage vehicle, you want to know the list of things that need attention, so you can budget accordingly.
If the mechanic says the engine is in rough shape, just walk.
