2008 Honda CRV vibrating

I have a 2008 CRV with 70K miles, had a shake or vibration at highway speeds. Took it to my mechanic and he replaced the struts and put on new tires. It is now much better, however there is still a small vibration at highway speeds that disappears after about 10 miles, then it is fine. Any ideas?

Hello,

What speed do you get the vibration,

Is it in the steering or through the car,

Is it worse when you Break.

All the Best.

@dvkala
Speeds are 70-75 MPH, in the steering. It is not worse when I break, no issues when braking at all.

Hello,

Ok, First thing is have the wheel balance checked,

Make sure you don't have a buckled wheel or tyre,

Check tyre pressure.

Let us know how you get on,

Hope this Helps.

All the Best.

Well, … tires perhaps? Some cheaper tires develop a flat spot while car is parked, … say, overnight. Next day, when tires are cold and you start driving, that flat spot induces vibration faster you drive. After the tire warms up a bit, flat spot works itself out, … vibration goes away! I find summer compound tires are most prone to this. All season compound, not so much. Winter tires pretty well never.
