If you aren't getting a check engine light for misfires, what's important at 100K is fresh spark plugs. You should just wipe the wiring, boots and coil packs clean (gently) with some paper towels. If the boots are not cracked or damaged, leave them be.

the plugs were changed. ihad one coil pack changed, now im changing the rest of the coil packs. but today i found out just the boots need be changed. what is the right way to do this?

This should give you the general overview of the process

would it be better to replace the entire coill pack?

Replacing an original coil pack with a new OEM coil pack would be considered "best practice". Nothing wrong with 'refreshing' an old coil pack tho..

should i change all the coil packs

if they are working, then no. Changing them will do absolutely nothing.

is there something wrong with the boots?
