The gas light is on and the needle reads empty. The tank is full. I changed the fuel pump assembly and still reads empty and the gas light is still on. What should I do?

If its a new fuel pump/sending unit assembly in the tank, it may be a ground somewhere is missing. Check all the fuses and wiring associated with this circuit.
