I have a 2008 Kia Sorento EX 115K miles automatic with a no crank, no start. I have replaced the battery, the alternator and have checked the fuses. now it indicating the upstream oxygen sensor is bad. We have kept up with oil changes and maintenance. It has really been a good car but I dont want to spend a lot more money on it. I am a widow and need some help. Is there still life in my car?
see if the FAQ helps
any thing else we may try?
maybe, but we need more details about what you've tried, and what exactly happens when you turn the key. You haven't answered any questions yet, like are you hearing the click?
This isn't a big deal. The O2 sensor code won't keep the car from cranking or starting so put that aside for the moment.
You want to recheck 2 fuses. The 10 Amp START fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box AND the 30 Amp IGN2 fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
If they're good then locate the Start Relay in the engine compartment fuse box and put your finger on it. Have somebody turn the ignition key to the START position. Can you feel the relay "click"?
Try that and come back to let us know what you find out.

Just to get back with you......We tried your suggestion with no success. 🙁
Use the steps in Scotties' video and see FAQ.
Two easy things to check.
Kia's won't crank if you don't have the car in neutral and your foot on the brake. Check your brake lights come on when you push the brake peddle. They had a problems with brake switches around that model year. If the lights don't come on most likely it's the brake peddle switch.
Another problem was the actuating arm in the starter. They were made of plastic and would snap in half. Have someone stand in front of the car and listen while you attempt a start. If they hear a whining or grinding noise it's the starter.
