I drained out my coolant and put new stuff in the reservoir to the fill line and after driving around for an hour I checked under the hood and the reservoir was very low. My engine didn't overheat but is that a cause of concern or would that be normal? I know I need to top it off immediately of course. 2008 Lincoln MKX AWD 240,000 miles. Just had the alternator replaced myself yesterday which involved removing the radiator hose but I'm sure it's not leaking underneath i checked for external leaks but didn't see any.
Realize it's pretty hard to get all the air out of the system. Sometimes the next day or two you got to top it off and then it shouldn't go down anymore. If it does you have some problems but if not it's just burping the air out of the system
