2008 Mazda Tribute 4cyl. automatic 4WD. 214,500 miles. Was shifting perfectly. Fluid is full, a light pink, and does not smell burnt or otherwise show any visual issues.
Came out after it was parked for a couple of hours, and now it will not shift from first to second, it must rev to about 4k rpm to then shift to fourth. Manually shifting it by starting from a stop in second just starts from first, then revs until it shifts to fourth gear. On the highway, it stays in third, even up to eight miles an hour, and past 4k rpm. Overdrive still seems to work, just only on the third gear. DTCs are as follows: P0732-FF Transmission Gear #2 Incorrect Ratio P0734-FF Transmission Gear #4 Incorrect Ratio.
Is this a potential PCM or TCM (no idea if they are separate or combined units) or is it more likely a mechanical issue with the auto trans?
Have any readers encountered this issue in the past, and found a solution to the problem?

Thanks in advance for any and all information!
The 4th gear is out.
Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. Looks like it will be used for around the town short trips from here on out. 🙁
Just an update: Took it to a reputable trans shop locally. Turns out the 2/4 band broke, and multiple needle bearings were shot, pump blew first, sending the rest down the river. Went ahead and had them rebuild as the rest of the vehicle is in hopefully decent condition. With the cost of a current vehicle higher than it has ever been, I decided to roll the dice and spend the 3k.... hope no other issues show up! Thanks to all who replied!
Thanks for the update. Hopefully, it is the case.
