Hi Scotty, I've really enjoyed your channel for many years and point everyone to it for their specific vehicle or questions they might have please keep up the great work.
I have a 2008 Mazda Miata with 90,000 miles on it. It's always been taking very good care of and I noticed in the owner's manual it recommends a valve lash adjustment around 60,000 MI and it says if necessary. I talked to the dealership and I'm worried about just dropping it off there and letting them have their way with it so is this necessary? If it doesn't happen can something bad happen? I talked to local repair shops and they weren't aware of it. Thanks!
Yes, bad things can happen. Please find an independent mechanic (not a dealership) that will do the job you want them to do.
Thanks so much! I'll look for someone with this experience
