Hello Scotty,
First of all thank you and big fan of yours, hope to meet you someday. I recently got a 2008 Lincoln navigator 113k miles. I want to keep it for long and as I am doing some research, I am seeing people saying bad things about the 5.4L engine. What should I do to keep it going and going. The engine is perfect now, no noises, previous owner did regular oil changes. I also did oil change with full synthetic mobile 1 - 5w20, should I change to 5w30 in future. Also seeing some oxidation at the drive shaft under, is it normal? (it was California truck previous now it is in Arizona). Also should I change spark plugs at this mileage and transmission fluid change (auto check report says transmission fluid was changed at 50k miles)
Thanks,
Arpit
Find the service intervals in the maintenance section of your owner's manual and divide by 2.
Also should I change spark plugs at this mileage
If they’re the original ones, absolutely.
transmission fluid change (auto check report says transmission fluid was changed at 50k miles)
What’s the present condition of the fluid? See here -
