Hello Scotty, My friend has a 2008 pt cruiser she said her car started to overheat the other day, so she let it cool off them topped it off with water. Then yesterday all her Gauges on the dash stop working then started working again Her needles on the MPH Gas etc stop working for sec then jumped back and was working. Well I used a TopDone ArtBattery101 Tested the battery is 100% good Alternator is charging and working great as well. She told me it had check engine light on Ac stopped working today in it as well. It was working yesterday ac . the fan kicks on with ac off for the cooling fan and the ac fan kicks on as well when u turn ac on, Just no ac its barley even cool. Codes PO481 and a Po480, so she orders two of the relay fan switches from a Parts store to change them out ASAP. What should i check? Thanks for your help
There are many reasons you can have a fault in the cooling fan circuit on those Chrysler piles of junk. Pray it's a relay cuz if not it can be anything from a body control module to wiring to a problem internal to the fan motor. It might work but it might be pulling too much power
