I have 2009 Toyota Avalon I bought new, now has 131500 miles. Never did any transmission fluid change. Should I have fluid changed? Should I go to dealer to have job done?
@computercoach
I sort of have the same question, in my case I have an '09 Honda Civic with appr 146,000 miles. I dont even know if there is a trans dipstick under the hood. My car came with NO manual. But I do look under my car, and under the hood and its always dry. I hope computer coach dont mind me trailing on their question! Thank you.
Both of you can do a transmission fluid change. Whether you have an ATF dipstick or not, you can still do a fluid change. Only do a drain, pan drop, filter replacement, and refill with new OEM fluid (refrain from using aftermarket ATF). Do NOT do a fluid flush on any of your transmissions; I don't recommend fluid flushes on any automatic transmission.
I'd do the fluid change sooner rather than later before you start having issues...

Thanks.
