2009 bmw 335d 308000 km on it sometimes a little bit of greyish white smoke out of the exhaust on cold starts should I be concerned. Car is fully emissions deleted I’m wondering if it’s a bit of oil seeping past the turbos when the engine is off ? Scanned for codes nothing except for a couple of headlight codes which I know are useless.

Have you checked the engine oil and coolant levels, glow plugs, injectors, performed compression and head gasket test? How does it smell? Diesel fuel quality in your country?

I’m in Canada so fuel quality is good at most stations. I only use reputable companies like shell. My car goes through about 1/2 a quart of oil between oil changes I change the oil every 5000km. I check coolant every fuel stop I’ve topped it like twice in 70000 km since owning the car. Exhaust smells normal like diesel haven’t done head gasket test or compression test
