At idle or at a stoplight speedometer jumps up and down erratically car stalls replaced VSS sensor VSS sensor wiring harness new throttle body new MAF sensor EGR valve clean ran Diagnostics no codes nothing out of the ordinary cannot figure out at all what causes my speedometer to jump and my car to stall I put my car in neutral it stops. it only does it when the car is not moving but the gear is in drive it only does it in park when it is on a hill other than that the car does not stall and the speedometer does not jump been a mechanic for 10 years and can't figure it out
Well let's do a pretty crappy dashes that off and break down, but if it stalls out normally the dash won't make it stall out. It'll just act up at the car run okay. So I would check the electronics, especially ground wires. Look for bad ground wires. I'll often do something like that as well. A somewhat weak battery or alternator or cables connecting the two
