I recently changed out the clockspring when I noticed the horn and cruise control buttons stopped working. I bought a used oem clockspring from ebay and after installing it it fixed the problem until last week. I noticed the airbag light would turn on after driving for 5 mins. The horn and cruise control still work and everything seems to be fine except the airbag light is on. I checked with my scanner and the trouble code that pops up is “11-40 open circuited or high resistance in driver air bag second module” Has anyone had any experience with this? Do I just need to install a brand new factory oem clockspring or is it an issue with the airbag? I appreciate the help
Put in a factory clock spring all that stuff is affected by that airbags you name it odds are just a bad part with that electronic code
