Hello, this question is for a friend at work, her 23 y.o. son bought a 2012 Chevy Cruise and got stranded, here in Chicago, because the key was "stuck" so we have him on the phone and asked: Is it in park? Yes, he replied. Key is stuck and won't turn either way. Long and short of it, it ended up being a bad battery...? They installed a new battery in it, then the key turned! Why does this not make any sense to me other than he has more than ONE problem... like an ignition problem too? My GF would appreciate some answers as her son would too. Thank you, smart Car peeps!!!

Well it does make sense everything's electronic these days and if you don't have any power the electronics won't allow you to turn the key it'll freeze it in place anytime that happens try jump starting the car and an emergency to at least get it started so you can drive it home
@scottykilmer... Yeah. TY for answering. ha ha ha I found out later that he had this thing decked out with LED lights inside and all kinds of electronic CRAP. He bought it used, and the battery was a piece of crap. His Mom, my friend and co-worker had him on speaker phone when he called, so I asked: you have triple A, or anything?? My friend said YEAH!!! Call your roadside assistance!!! To which her son replied: I didnt pay the insurance last month. The whole thing was a wash...it is fixed now, with his new battery. Im SO glad to have found your videos. Please realize, you do the people a TON of GOOD and people are stupid if they don't believe in someone's experience with cars. Very impressive... 53+ years experience and still have the enthusiasm to TRY and teach folks. BIG fan here. BIG thanks.
