H I own a 09 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L with 156,483 miles. When I turn on my truck and the truck starts to heat up (158F) on idle or accelerating it starts to smoke between white and blue smoke. Afterwards, (a few days later) decided cleaned the throttle body (it was full of chunky oil on the throttle body) and Also replace the Pcv valve and the smoke stopped at the idle. After the truck was on idle for a couple of minutes (not smoking) I press the accelerator harsh on idle, And whiteish/blueish smokes comes out for a couple of seconds and afterwards goes away. The smokes smells like burnt oil. What can the problem be ?
ps: after replacing the Pcv valve the check engine came with the code P0420 which is the catalytic Converter.
well Angie is just flat wearing out the combination of white and blue smoke is burning oil and burning metal the blue tinge is burning metal showing piston rings and various parts of the engine are worn I would just live with it and drive it till it drops
