I got a question on a 1997 nissian pathfinder. It has about 250,000 miles on it and went I go on the highway or go over 50 something it starts to shake or move side by side what could it be.
I seen that before more often it is worn out shocks and struts that do that but if tires are really bad it will shakes I decide
I owned one - ‘97, 4WD, manual - for a better part of 14 years from new, … and 200K of driving. Absolutely, … suspension was the only weak link of this truck. OEM hardly lasted 65K. By about that mileage, new struts and rear shocks had to be installed. There was not much choice, and only OEM stuff was available for replacement. Other than that, … just maintenance and drive! After I sold it, … I continued to see it from time to time in the ‘hood for another six years.
Anyway, … I would look at suspension. Also, check panhard bar.
